Here is a video tutorial on how to use magnets

Get a lot of questions about the Tyvek envelopes where to find them and what similar products can be used.
You can find them in office supply stores, Amazon and on Ebay. you can use Craft Tex, vinyl thin fabric or anything strong thin material Instead of the envelopes.

Often I get questions about if I sell my projects, what I do with them, how I store them, how long they take to make and how I come up with the ideas.
I usually don't sell them because the hay shipping cost with insurance here from Norway. I have them displayed around my house or give them away. Usual I don`t take the time when I make my projects but if I do I tell in the video. When I get new papers the images and style usual give me the ideas what I can create with them. I also look around me in the house or outside to see what can be made and just wait for the right paper to show up :-)

Also get many questions if I am making tutorials on projects.
I always tell in the videos if there are tutorial on that specific project or it is linked in the description box bellow the video on YouTube.
If it does not say I am sorry there is no tutorial on that project.
My tutorials are only for personal use and can not be sold or used for commercial purpose because I want them to be for free for all to use

  1. May I ask how you come up with a project concept ...or is there a book that you would recommend to read on creative ideas.....on the process?

Answer:When I get new papers I try to see what can be done with them. Also look around me if there is something that can be made such as telephone box, radio and anything that can be made. YT is also a great inspiration. I don`t know of any books but I am shore there is some.

  2. Hi Anna it's beautiful, you said at the beginning that you had covered paper with Claudine helmer multi matte was that before cutting out or after ie similar to modge podge sealer,
Answer: I usual cut out the images first and then cover with multi matte. When there is tiny pieces it can be good to cover first but then it can be harder to cut into the paper. Modge podge is similar but a bit more " sticky". Hope this helps :-)

Answer:Yes I only punch out squares from the solid colours from the 6x6 paper pad because that is what I most use when I am working with other collections from Graphic 45 to match the papers when I need more solid colours. There are 6 solid and 12 pattern papers in the 6x6 and 16 different pattern in the 8x8 and 12 x 12. Hope that explains it and have fun creating :-)

  66. Castle box tutorial for the Gilded Lily mini album
I have a question about the height of the chipboard and paper you use. You have a 14 1/2" height - and we, in the U.S. are only able to obtain chipboard at 12"x12". Do you think that piecing two pieces of chipboard and hinging on both sides would make it strong enough stand on its own? I really want to make it, but can't find any chipboard that is over 12" square. Thanks for your insight. I have made several of your projects and I always receive lavish compliments for them! So, I thank you for your generosity in sharing!
Answer: You are welcome and I am happy my tutorials are helpful! I think it is best if you glue 2 pieces of chipboard well together and offset ( shifter) the layers to get them long enough. Hope that helps and have fun creating :-)

I am somewhat new to this, and enjoy it immensely, but I don't understand why there so many "TAGS" placed on one photo album page? What does the recipient DO with three or four "TAGS"? I would like to know what all the TAGS are for before I start making an album.
Tags can be used for so many fun things :-)
They can be used as photo mats or as a decor on top of a photo with memorabilias with a clip, for journaling or just for a little note or for decor to make the pages with photos look nice. I like to put in many tags so the recipient can chose what they want to use. Hope this answer your question and have fun creating :-)

I'm working on this album and I have a question. You use tape on the hinges. It looks like clear tape. I've heard you mention fancy pants chalk tape in other videos, but this appears to be clear tape and I can't find clear tape by that company. What tape is this?
Answer: This is regular package tape you can find in any office supply store. You can use any kind of thin material to reinforce the hinges. Have fun creating :-)

What if you want to add a little bit more chunkier embellishments? Can I make the score lines further apart or would I need to make the whole price of paper bigger first?
Answer: Sure you can. Then you just cut the template/ paper wider as much you add to the hinge so if you like the pages to have a 1/4 inch between you add 1/8 inch wider to the template and score at 3/8 -5/8 - 4 5/8 and 8 5/8. Have fun creating :-)

Could this be a good option to take if I want to protect a couple of paperbacks? If so, should I make the cover and glue the book, or make the cover around the existing one?
Answer: Yes it would be a good option if you like to protect your books. The binding depends of what sort of book you have. The kraft tex is great for soft bound books and chipboard for other hard covered books.I think would have made new covers but again it depends on what type of book you are want to protect. Keep up the wonderful work. I do have a couple of question: what weight chipboard do you use? I find the stuff from Silhouette is too flimsy. I ordered some medium weight and that is too thick. Also, have you tried magnetic sheets instead of small magnets? I ordered some from Amazon that are from the Aleen (tacky glue) brand. They have not arrived yet. Was curious if you had ever tried them and if so, how well they worked. Thanks!

You used Graphic 45 An Eerie Tale, so things turn out a bit differently. In the 2nd video, at about 15:00 minutes, you show a frame that you use on the first flip out. I'm wondering where that came from. It doesn't look like part of the Eerie set, it's just a frame printed on black card stock that had to be cut out of the middle.
I hope I've explained it well enough that you know which frame I'm talking about.
Thank you for sharing your artwork.

    1. You are welcome and I am happy you can use the tutorials to make your own albums :-) The frame comes from the 12x12 paper pad and I just cut out the inside part so I was left with the frame and glued it on black cardstock and then cut out the middle part again to make it study and outlined. Hope this explains you question and have fun creating :-)

Hello Anne. Do you have a video of how to make the three cards, which are phone, camera and typewriter. I would like to know how to cut them to make them stand and how to do them.
Answer: I am sorry but don`t have a tutorial on how to make this cards but if you fold a piece of paper and put it on the die a bit from the top the card can stand up. Then cut a whole shape for the front and glue them together. Hope that helps and have fun creating :-)

I'm trying to follow you but I didn't catch what the black 31/4 x 31/4 black square was. Is that cardstock or something thicker? The cover and back pieces?
Answer: It is chipboard. Have fun creating :-)

  148. I still don't know what paper you are using. Please give all specifications, so I can order.
Answer: I used different colours of Bazzil carstock just so it would show better up in the video. For the most I use Bazzill Prismatics in my albums. If there is any spesific paper you wonder about please tell what time in the video and I will try to look it up for you.
    Have fun creating :-)

  149. Dear Anne
I would like to know how you calculate the width of the spine . The pages will have pop ups and tags and the edge binding 3/4 inch total 4 pages
Wishing all best for you. Still missing you .

    1. Thank you Maia. It depends what sort of spine you like to have and what type of album you have. ( I do different measuring for every album I make so I don`t have any exact rules for the measurements) If you like a flat spine calculate a bit wider than the pages build up so you have room to add pictures. For a rounded spine attach to the front and back cover I measure with some scrap paper round the pages so it folds a bit round. Add about 2 inch and score 1 inch on each side to attach on the covers. ( for larger albums I attach more than 1 inch on each side of the covers) Sorry I am not good at explain in writing but hope this helps and have fun creating :-)

  153. I also was hoping you were well and missed you on youtube. Love your albums, your style and tutorials. I'm surprised G45, Tim Holtz or any of the big names haven't helped you get back into a computer or simple to use video editing program. You are the main reason I found them and love their products so I am sure there are many more people who also purchase and learn about their products through you. I look forward to your return and I'm eager to see your new creations. I've learned so many wonderful techniques from your tutorials and most importantly I am learning to just get out there and create.
Thank you for sharing your talent!

I wanted to ask how can I convert this into a 6 x 6 ring binder album?

Answer: Sure you can but you have to change the binding. For example you can add a reinforced strip of paper on the side and punch holes to fit your album. Hope that helps and have fun creating :-)

First, are you still creating? Second, is there anything I (and other caring followers) can do to enable you to post again? I pray for you often, and hope all is well in your life. I hope you will reply, cut even if you do not, I will continue to pray for your health and happiness. Dear Anne, You are so special to so many. Much love from Kentucky, USA. Katie
