Graphic 45 Bird Song Asian clock house and mini album - tutorial

Hi Everyone :-)
Had so much fun making this Clock house with the beautiful Bird Song collection with 2 match boxes from Graphic 45. There is also a tiny mini album in the drawer.

You can find this beautiful papers at Kreativ Scrapping

Video

On the front side there is a working clock.
Love using clocks in my projects :-)

On the back side I used chipboard cut out and tied a bow around.

Used ornate metal label holder on both sides of the drawer.
Had to put some flowers on the roof also :-)

Made a fan inside the roof.

The tassels are made from thick sewing thread.

Had so fun fussy cutting this beautiful flowers :-)

Seen from the other side

Asian looking roof with metal lamp and dragon

Close up of the matchbox inside

Tiny Mini album for 2 x 3 photos or journaling,
The beautiful ribbon is from May Arts.

Fits inside the drawer

The pages are bounded with hairpins.

Here are some measurements!

For the roof I cut out 7 pieces thick chipboard.
The largest is 4 3/4 x 3 1/4 and the smallest is 3 1/4 x 2
( made one more than the picture show )

On the bottom I cut out 4 pieces.
The largest is 6 x 4 and the smallest is 5 1/4 x 3
( made one more than the picture show )
Then glued them together and painted black

Glued the roof on the drawer and drilled holes for the lug screws.

Fastened the chains for the clock and used strong glue

Also glued on a chipboard piece to fasten the match box

Used some wooden beads for feet and painted it all black.
Used a thin paint ( Distress paint )on the inside of the match boxes and outside on 2 sides on the drawer so the paint not build up any more

Went aroun the fussy cut images with a Zig marker
Used Caudine Hellmuth multi matte to glue down the fussy cut images and at last on the whole box.
( It is important to use a water proof marker when you use multi matte over )

Measurements for the roof.

drag the pen over the paper and give the roof a bent shape

Measurements for the mini album

Used Tyvek envelopes to binn the chipboard pieces together and used scorE tape for the glue
The leftover piece is for the page binding

6 Pages are cut 4 1/2 x 4 1/8
Score at 2 and 2 1/8
Bind with hairpins

Glue on hinges on the back of the spine. Attach the pages and glue it down on the book spine.
