Wild Orchid crafts flower pot display and organizer - Flower pot tutorial

Hi everyone :-)
Made an other flower pot for my WOC flowers so I easy can find the flowers to use on my project without taking out all the flower bags.
Here I easy can find the flowers I need for my projects :-)
Used The beautiful Bird song collection from Graphic 45 to match my other storage units.
Did some fussy cutting and glued it down with Claudine Hellmuth multi matte.
Under is a drawer with paper so I can write down the flowers I getting low on.
Feets are from Tim Holtz

Will show in the video some examples and explaining how to use the displayed flowers :-)

The flowers I used in this examples is:
Sweetheart blossoms MKX -336

pale pink rosebuds GST - 007
Lilly flowers MKX- 128
And whire pearl spray 4mm MKX - 539

Here are the measurements for the flower pot

Score and bend on all pieces.

Hinges cut at 1 inch and score at 1/2.
Glue on the inside first.

Then glue hinges on the out side.
Cut a bit into the hinge so it can form over the pot.

Measurement for the bottom. Glue on with hinges inside and outside.
Use the templates to decorate the outsides
Hope this is inspiring and helpful :-)

  3. This is a wonderful idea. I have so many flowers and I mean SOOOO many flowers. This would be a fun idea to display them to just grab and add to projects.

  4. I like to see what I have for inspiration... otherwise I tend to forget what I have. I would probably make this a hanging flower pot because I am short on desk-top space! I have two 8'x 3' tables; one I sit at and one right behind me that holds my die-cut machine and the boxes of embellishments, ribbons, dies, etc. that I may want for a particular project. I still find myself doing my actual work in a space on my desk about 12" x 12"!! A lot of my stuff goes up on the wall, tucked into French memo boards and onto old, small, decorative shelves that I found here and there and painted white so I can see the colors of the items displayed. Thanks for the idea. My flowers are all in closed boxes now and this would be much better!

  5. What a great idea! I love that you can see exactly what you have so easily... and what better container that itself is a work of art! Awesome!
