Tutorial French Country market stand for the envelope mini album

Market stand tutorial

Measurements for the French Country market stand

Start with to 5 x 3 matchboxes from Graphic 45
And to strips thin chipboard to go on top and bottom.
Take out the drawers before you glue it down.

Cut chipboards as show bellow for the sides
For the rest I used chipboard that is 1.9 mm thick.
You can glue to chipboard together if you don`t have so thick chipboard
You might have to adjust the measurements a bit depends on how thick your chipboard is.

Glue hinges on to make it stronger.
Here I used Tyvek envelope that is very strong.
On the side you see the drawers

Measurements for the bottom stand under the drawers.

Glue hinges on to make it study and strong.
Cut 1 inch strips of strong paper ore Tyvek envelopes and score at 1/2 inch

Now it should look like this.

Measurements for the roof and sides.
Cut the sides on an angel on the top and glue 2 and 2 together.

Glue the sides inside and small pieces on the side.

Glue the roof on with hinges on the top and under.
Cut 3/4 wide strips to go around on the outside.

Glue on the top with hinges.

Glue hinges around on the under side.

One more strip under to make the sides study.

Cut 1/4 and about 1/2 inch strips for the slider door and glue them double on .

Here I slided the door in and then it is easy to see where the strip on the roof goes.
Door measurement is 10 1/4 hay and 11 1/2 wide and after I glued the strip on I cut it in half ( % 3/4 )
The measurement on the door depends on the angel you have on the roof.

Side panels
Here you also need to adjust a bit depends on the roof angel

Glue them on the inside side and use hinges inside and outside.

Also glued some 1/4 inch strips inside the roof to make it study.

Now it should look like this.

Side doors closed

Painted black around and also inside.
Now it is ready to me decorated.

For the curtain cut 11 1/2 wide x 12 and score every half inch after taken Multi matte on both sides.
score and fold when the multi matte is almost dry .
( 1/2 1- 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 and so on from the front and 1-2-3-4 and continue from the back

Use strong double thread an sew like show on the picture.
Attach a double glued hinge on the top.
This is for gluing on the roof

Sew all the way up to the hinge.

Glue to the roof

Attached a jump ring in one end to thread all the sewing threads into.
Sorry bad photo! My camera would not focus so close but hope you get the idea :-)

Measurement for the bottom.
Changed my mind and cut it at 17 x 9

Also choose to use 2 - 8 x 8 match boxes on the bottom.
Here is place for travel memories or garden supplies.

Hope this is helpful and have fun creating :-)
Hugs, Anne
