Tim Holtz carousel storage tower

Had so much fun with and make this carousel :-)
Tried and make it a bit masculine, steampunk feel.
It is made of multiple layers of chipboard glued together. then used black paper on all surfaces with Claudine Hellmuth multi matte. To decorate the tower i have tried to use most of Tim Holtz products.
It took me over a month and make it but have had a lot of fun :-)
Some challenges along the way, but mostly be solved.  The carousel spins and have used the base to the old tv spinner to  get it spin / rotation around
the large chipboard I bought here in Norway, but if you can not find it where you live, you can paste multiple layers together by and offset layers until you get the length you need.

On this side i made a glass door and i used the mini lantern from Tim Holtz
Papers i used in this storage are from different TH paper pads

Video

On this side there is drawers, shelves and a room for tissue paper.
Also made a shaddow box just for decoration lol
Used a curtain holder to hold masking tape

Here there is plase for a lot of distress ink pads

Made a blending / shutter curtain from chipboard and TH tissue paper. Used stamps and imbossed oer. Also used mettalick stains. Under ther is a room for 12 x 12 paper pads.

On this side there is drawers, shelves and a curtain on the left side

A llitle room here for rulers

Here are some pictures when i filled it up wit all the lovely stuff from Tim Holtz and ranger

Close up pictures
Drawer with goodies :-)

Had to make a crown for Tim Holtz lol :-)

Clock works in the box

The cute little girl inside the shaddow box is me a few years ago !

Close up picture of the crown and clock box
Used an old light bulb inside the crown with some gears on the top a fleur die . Used grunge board to make the crown. That is steady and easy to work with :-)

Pocket watch with clock keys, gears and spinner
Back side

the journal inside the shelf.
Have a  video tutorial on how to make it

Here i used Mini Silhouettes die, black crackle paint, gears, chain and clock parts

Here i put pictures of my 2 boys inside the gears :-)

Altered dressform die

Key with gears

Had a lot of fun using different hardware for TH and put them together :-)

Made a flower pot from Mini Bird and Cage Set die. Black crackle paint and some gears and Metal Foliage for the flowers

This i use to hold the small glossy accent

Wings on the bird cage, shane and some clock parts.
Film strip around the top storage

Made a hanging lamp from  Mini Bird and Cage die set.
Black crackle paint, clock key, crown die, spinner, gears, chain and light bulb

Film strip die with acetate behind. Black crackle paint, gear and spinner

Ornate plate and clock pieces inside the glass bottle

hee i used Mini Bird and Cage Set crown die, clock face and a spinner.
chain, metal bird and chain pieces on the crown
Black crackle paint and rub over with gold

Picture of my mom and dad inside ornate plate :-)

Hinge made with Hardware Findings die, gears and spinner. Used embossing powder on the hinge

Tim Tim Tim :-)
Letters cut with Upon a Time die, cracle accent and went over with metalic stains

                                        Storage tower measurements

    1. Thank you so much Denice :-) The clock is made from 5 - 3x3 chipboard and glued together with hinges as show bellow where there are pictures how i made the tower. The lid is cut about 3 1/8 and the sides 1 inch. Here you have to adjust a bit depence on how thick your chipboard is and how you glue it together. Hope this helps and have fun creating :-)

I don't have the time to devote to recreating your fabulous storage unit, but I wish Tim Holtz would license your design and sell it (or perhaps the basic unit to be embellished by the purchaser).
